Yeng Hian currently heads the Marine Services Division at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), which regulates and facilitates the development of the harbour craft industry in Singapore, including advancing Singapore’s position as a trusted global bunkering hub through use of alternative marine fuels and digitalisation. Most recently, he completed the Sloan Fellows Programme from Stanford University, where he also received a Certificate in Public Management and Social Innovation.

Yeng Hian started his career in the Singapore Government in 2011 with the MPA, before his secondment to the Ministry of Manpower from 2017-2020, where he led the review of Singapore’s employment standards.
