Dr Grahaeme Henderson OBE has a 40-year career in Shell that includes assignments in Brunei (twice), Nigeria, Syria, The Netherlands (three times) and UK (twice). This includes the Country Chair and Managing Director of Brunei Shell Petroleum, and most recently responsible for Shell’s international shipping and maritime activities. He is the Chairman of the ‘Together in Safety’ global coalition.

Grahaeme is a leading thought leader and spokesperson in the shipping industry, with keynote addresses at many major International Conferences and is number 14 in the Lloyd’s List Top 100 People in Global Shipping. He was the President of the UK Chamber of Shipping from 2016 to 2018 and Chair of the Oil Companies International Marine Forum from 2014 to 2018. Grahaeme has a First Class Honours BSc Degree and a PhD in mathematics of sea waves, an Honorary DSc and is a Professional Chartered Engineer. In 2020, he was awarded the OBE by Her Majesty The Queen for Services to International Shipping.
