Mr. Daniel Zhang is the Centre Director of the Centre of Excellence in Maritime Safety (CEMS) @Singapore Polytechnic. As an engineer by training, he is a strong advocate of technology adoptions to enhance efficiency and productivity at work. At CEMS, he is responsible for building a technology and innovation team and developing human centric technologies to enhance the seafarer training assessment and delivery for the industry. Prior to joining CEMS, Daniel was with the Singapore Maritime Institute for 8 years, where he was responsible for charting the strategic directions and formulation of R&D initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of the maritime industry. Daniel has a Master of Engineering Degree (by research) in Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
