Mr. Bas Wiebe has been in the Emergency Response and offshore industry for 22 years. He started with one of the leading international salvage companies in the Netherlands in 1999. After an initial period of 2 years in the head office in IJmuiden, the Netherlands he moved to the Singapore branch and has since been based in Singapore.

He held positions as commercial-, salvage- and regional-manager Asia Pacific, and now as general manager responsible for the marine salvage services of RESOLVE SALVAGE & FIRE (Asia).

Bas has been involved in all aspects of emergency response, from marketing activities to the initial call related to a marine incident, coordination of salvage projects up to the settlement of the services as well as lectures and training related to emergency response.
